A New Home for Recognition, Support and Community
The Knife Crime Prevention Awards is proud to unveil its completely redesigned platform, bringing together nominations, stories, community engagement and recognition in a modern and user-friendly experience.
Built around our mission of "Recognising Courage. Rewarding Change.", the new platform has been created to make it easier than ever for individuals, organisations and communities to celebrate those making a positive difference in the fight against knife crime.
The redesigned website introduces a cleaner, more accessible design that works across desktop, tablet and mobile devices, ensuring visitors can quickly access the information and features that matter most. Whether you are submitting a nomination, reading inspiring stories, supporting an existing nominee or engaging with the community through our forums, the new platform has been designed with simplicity and usability at its core.
One of the most exciting additions is our new Stories section.
This area gives people the opportunity to share their experiences, journeys and perspectives surrounding knife crime, violence prevention and community safety. We believe that personal stories have the power to educate, inspire and support others, helping to raise awareness and encourage positive change. Registered users can submit their own stories for review, allowing us to build a library of real experiences from people across the country.
The nominations system has also undergone a significant transformation. Nominations can now be submitted through a streamlined step-by-step process, making it easier to recognise both individuals and organisations. Public nominee profiles provide a dedicated space to showcase the achievements and impact of those who have been nominated, while supporters can leave messages of support to demonstrate the wider influence nominees have had within their communities.
To maintain transparency and trust, the platform now includes a nomination verification system. Where appropriate, nominations can be reviewed and verified by authorised Knife Crime Prevention Awards judges or staff members. Verified nominations are clearly identified, providing confidence that information has been checked in accordance with our nomination guidelines.
Community engagement sits at the heart of the new platform. Our redesigned forums provide a welcoming space for members to connect, discuss important topics, share resources and support one another. Additional areas for volunteers, events, resources, awards and community discussions help create an environment where people can work together to make a positive difference.
Behind the scenes, dedicated systems for judges, staff and volunteers help ensure nominations, stories and community contributions can be managed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards. These improvements provide a strong foundation for future growth as the platform continues to evolve.
This redesign represents more than just a new look. It is a commitment to building a stronger, more connected community dedicated to recognising those who work tirelessly to make our communities safer.
We would like to thank everyone who continues to support the Knife Crime Prevention Awards and the wider mission of tackling knife crime through education, awareness, prevention and positive action.
Together, we can continue recognising courage and rewarding change.
